Our Story

Spearheaded by Charlottesville-native Chef Zachary Andrews, Spoon & Spindle serves seasonal menus for brunch, lunch, & dinner as well as ever-updating craft cocktails, local wines, and unique beers. Chef Zach takes inspiration from Southern and Asian flavors as well as the many cuisines he’s worked in, from sushi & BBQ to fine dining.

Our current menu includes fan favorites like the Quail Lewis, a Manchester Farms quail dish honoring Chef Edna Lewis and her contributions to southern cuisine. Our current Chef's Specials also include Beef Wellington, Southern Fish & Chips, soul-warming Pot Pie Skillet, and much more. Our popular brunch menu includes favorites like the Hangover Hash, Biscuit Benedict, Breakfast Burritos, Chocolate Cremeux Crepes, and much, much more. Our unique menu, intimate dining room, and uber friendly staff keep our regulars coming back to see what we have on special each day.

We are proud to also offer catering for corporate events, weddings, rehearsal dinners, and more! We are the exclusive caterer for our sister venue, Madison at the Mill, and we also offer offsite services in Orange and our surrounding area.

Spoon & Spindle is located at 323 H N. Madison Road, Orange VA in the historic Silk Mill building. Use the covered ramp to find our entrance near Iron Pipe Alewerks!

Chef Zachary Andrews is an extremely talented and gifted creator of fine food. Over the past 15 years, Chef Zach has honed his skills working alongside some of the finest chefs in the industry. His eclectic experience includes: Fine Italian Cuisine, Sushi, BBQ, Gourmet Pizza, Southern Cooking, Asian Cuisine, Cajun-Creole, and High End Gastronome Tasting Menu Creations.
